Electric Dryer Repair

Rising Fawn, Lookout Mountain and the Chattanooga area — one technician, start to finish.

What a dryer service usually involves

When your dryer stops doing its job, laundry day can turn into laundry week. Common problems include a dryer that runs but doesn't produce heat, takes several cycles to dry a load, won't start, shuts off unexpectedly, or makes a racket while tumbling. Sometimes the symptoms point to a relatively simple repair; other times, the cause isn't immediately obvious. My job is to narrow things down, determine what I can about the problem, and explain what needs attention.

I approach every service call with the same goal: find a sensible solution without recommending work you don't need. I'll explain my findings, discuss the expected repair cost, and help you weigh your options before moving forward. Depending on what's wrong, I may be able to complete the repair during the first visit, or I may need to order parts and return. I want you to know what you're paying for and what to expect before any authorized repair begins.

I work on most common household brands — Amana, Whirlpool, Maytag, Kenmore, Frigidaire, Electrolux, GE, LG, Samsung and Speed Queen. This is electric only: I do not take on gas dryers. I also do not work on boutique or luxury machines such as Bosch and Miele, or commercial, RV and medical-grade equipment.
